The Story
On Pinterest I saw the many wall art displays made with TP tubes and thought, I wonder if I could come up with something for my basement. I have a beach theme in the family room and thought a “seaweed” looking piece would be cool. I took all of the TP tubes I had in the house and one paper tower tube. I cut them in ¾ inch pieces and flattened them. Then I took Elmer’s glue and lots of clothes pins and glued them together. I used Elmer’s because I figured it would be easier to take apart if I changed my mind. I am not sure that was the case, since I changed my mind a few times after it was almost dry. But I like how it turned out. The first picture is bare TP tubes. The second one is after I spray painted them. I bought a cheap can of spray paint from Walmart. The total cost was the spray paint – under $1. It took about an hour to get it the way I wanted. I put a straight pin in the wall and hung it by one of the rings.
